Cumbria Woman of the Year is in its’ thirty-sixth-year, and we couldn’t be prouder of the women who have earned the title over those years, or of those who have been nominated for the award.
With social media becoming a routine part of everyday life, we are grateful for the platform and the way it reveals so many wonderful people, causes and achievements in our county. It allows us to expand our reach and highlight those achievements by honouring the amazing women behind the accomplishments.
Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) brings together the best of the UK’s expertise in radioactive waste management, offering solutions across preparation and planning, treatment and packaging, and disposal. NWS’ vision is to make nuclear waste permanently safe, sooner, protecting people and the environment today and taking responsibility for future generations.
Nuclear Waste Services is proud to once again sponsor the Cumbria Woman of the Year category at the 2026 Cumbria Women of the Year Awards.
Across Cumbria, inspirational women are making a lasting difference through their dedication, compassion and leadership. We are honoured to support the recognition of their achievements and to celebrate the positive impact they make within our communities.
Everyone at NWS offers sincere congratulations to all those nominated and thanks them for their outstanding contributions. Their commitment and achievements continue to make Cumbria a place to be proud of.
